Data Requests

Delete my data

To delete your account and all associated data, send an email to hi@cueva.io with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will remove your data from our database and third-party services within 30 days.

After deletion, you can continue using the App with a fresh account by reinstalling it.

Export my data

To receive a copy of your stored data, send an email to hi@cueva.io with the subject line "Data Export Request". We will provide your data in a machine-readable format.


Frequently Asked Questions

What data does Better Writer store?

Better Writer stores your writing text, reading completion status, progress stats (streaks, word counts), and a random device identifier. We do not collect your name, email, location, or any other personal information. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I start over?

Yes. Delete the App, then go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Better Writer and ensure it is fully removed (not offloaded). Reinstalling the App will create a new account. Note that deleting and reinstalling without clearing storage may restore your previous Keychain identifier.

To also delete your server-side data, email hi@cueva.io before reinstalling.

Why are my readings not loading?

Readings are generated by AI and delivered via a streaming connection. If a reading fails to load:

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Close and reopen the App
  3. If the problem persists, email us at hi@cueva.io

Is my writing private?

Yes. Your writing is stored on our servers to sync across sessions and to personalize your experience, but it is never published, shared publicly, or sold. Only the automated AI systems process your writing to understand your interests. No human reads your writing unless you share it with us (e.g., in a support email).

How do I report a bug?

Email hi@cueva.io with a description of the issue, what you expected to happen, and what happened instead. Screenshots are helpful.
